(08/21/07) Winter Storage

I know we still have a month or so of the best cruising of the year, but I feel a need to remind you that we are preparing for the winter now. Last week we mailed our winter storage packages to seasonal customers of winter, 06/07 and summer, 07.

If you have not yet made arrangements to store your yacht this winter and you need us to send you a winter storage package to review, call us at (207) 371-2525 and we'll mail one to you at once. Also, all the information is on this website including the Winter Storage Form and our 2007/2008 rates. To qualify for the winter storage discount, deposits must be received by September 7th, 2007.

(08/13/07) Smokey the Bear

Through a collaborative effort between Robinhood Marine Center, Woodex Bearings, the Georgetown Fire and Rescue Squad, and the children of Georgetown, Smokey the Bear is back where he belongs.

Thanks to Andy, Tommy, Jessie, John and Rosemary Hentz, Starkey, and everyone who pitched in.

.

Smokey was stolen in June for purposes unknown.

Remember, turn left after Smokey, go to the end, and there's RMC!

(08/06/07) This Week at RMC

Here's the week coming up in a nutshell. I'll elaborate as each event nears.

Tomorrow at 9:00 AM the Dave Berry's Market Boat visits with the highest quality produce and baked goods available.

Wednesday evening at 7:00, join us at the Library as our Dockmaster, Jeff DeRosa, descibes his winter in Antarctica.

Scott Davis and his jazz quartette entertains Friday evening from 4:00 til 7:00 at the Gazebo.

And this weekend is the Maine Boats, Homes, and Harbors Boat Show in Rockland. Spartan Marine and the RMC marina and brokerage will be displayed in the tent on land, and the Basso's have graciously allowed us to present Bella, their beautiful Robinhood 36 sailboat, to the public for viewing in the water. I hope you all can find time to attend.

(07/31/07) Bill Plummer

Now that I have your attention! This was St. Patrick's Day.

Wednesday night Bill Plummer IV will offer his own perspective on growing up in Five Islands in the Library at 7:00 in the fourth presentation of our Lecture in the Library series. Hear about life on these islands from one who knows.

Friday through Sunday we offer the 3rd annual "Long Weekend of Art". Local artists will fill our Old Rigging Shop Studio and Gallery at Riggs Cove with wonderful works of art for your viewing.

Mel Tukey and the Clam Flat Five will entertain Friday evening to kick off the weekend's festivities.

(07/26/07) Tracey MacLean & Friends

Tracey MacLean returns this evening to kick off the fifth weekend of our summer jazz series. Her performance here in June let us know that Friday nights this summer were going to be good.

Yes, summer's halfway gone. I hate to say it, but it's time to start to consider winter storage. Talk to Tom Fake or me (Warren) about the different options we offer to store your vessel.

Join us all this evening, 4:00 - 7:00, rain or shine as Tracey and Friends perform jazz standards and songs from her CD "Real".
